Spice up your Veggies

We all know that different cultures have different ways of preparing and eating foods. Today I want to share with you a little trick from the Hispanic culture that I picked up from my friend, Leslie. If you dislike vegetables because they are too plain or if you just want to try something new then this post is for you!

Spice up your veggies by adding some lemon or lime juice and some Tajin chili seasoning. See my recipe below!

I used a container of a broccoli & carrot slaw mix, 1 lemon, 1 lime, and ~1/2 of a jicama.

I washed the slaw mix. Cut and washed the jicama. Mixed the veggies together. I cut the lemon/lime and squeezed the juice into the bowl. Add the seasoning until desired flavor is reached. The amount of seasoning you use will vary depending on your taste and tolerance for spices.

This can be used with any type of vegetable you choose! I chose the broccoli/carrots slaw mix and jicama because that is what sounded good to me! Get creative and enjoy!
